That's the end of our coverage for this thrilling game. Join us tomorrow, for the big double header day.

Game over for KKR! Rinku Singh and Nitish Rana gave SRH a mini-heart attack, but the Orange Army have their second win on the trot. Not the most convincing bowling efforts, but the batters should be proud of how they played, especially Harry Brook, who notched up his maiden IPL hundred. SRH win by 23 runs, but don't take anything away from Nitish Rana and Rinku Singh, who have batted with brave hearts.

DG: 31 OFF 3 BALLS. Game is done and dusted.....

AAAAND Shardul departs! Just the start SRH wanted in the last over

Good length ball from Umran, and Shardul had to go for the big shot, he had no option. He swings hard and gets it from the outer part of the bat. The fielder at point parries back and takes a sharp catch. A famous win looks bleak from here on...

DG: 50 up for Rinkuuu! Who is writing the script? This is unimaginable. KKR need 32 off the last over. Anyone up for 6 sixes in an over? Rinku has hit 5 previously. Can he go one up this time? Fasten your seat belts everyone......

No matter what happens in this contest, one thing's for sure, Rinku Singh is a special player. He hardly looks in trouble and is once again standing like a brick wall for KKR.

DG: 48 off 12 balls. KKR need a really big over here. Probable a 30-run over can do the job for them. Any bets on Rinku Singh?

DG: 58 off the last 3 overs. As of late, we have seen strange things happening in IPL. So, don't be shocked if Lord Rinku pulls off an incredible heist once again.

HUUUUGE wicket in the context of the game!!!

KKR skipper Nitish Rana departs for a well-compiled 75. Just what the SRH doctor ordered, a wicket right after the strategic timeout. Not a good delivery by any means from Natarajan. Full toss as Rana smashes it hard, but unlucky for him, he finds the man at deep cover. Is this game over for the Knight Riders?

DG: 70 required off the last 4 overs. Rinku Singh has just smashed Marco Jansen for back-to-back sixes. He has done it before against GT, can he do it again? Are we going to see a repeat of Rinku Singh's special performance?

Washi Sundar puts down Nitish Rana!

Oh dear, what have you done? These should be a regulation catch at this level. Rana sways away from the back of a length ball and pulls it high in the air. Sundar stationed at deep mid fails to judge the catch and spills the bean.

DG: 85 off 28 balls. Till the time Rana and Rinku are out there, every KKR fan would feel the target can be chased.

Okay, hang on here. Seems like Rinku Singh is out, but he has taken the DRS. A touch fuller from Bhuvneshwar Kumar as Rinku misses the flick. The ball whizzes past the bat as the umpire raises his finger for caught behind. Rinku immediately takes the review. AAAAND guess what, he is safe. The ball bumped on the ground after it hit the bat. Rinku survives...

DG: Rinkuuuuu Singghhh has joined the mission to achieve the impossible. He smacks his first six of the game. KKR would hope there's more to come from his willow today. Length on the stumps and he dispatches it over long on.

DG: 100 up for KKR, but they still have a long, long, long way to go. Moreover, Nitish Rana brings up his half-century. This is his 16th fifty in IPL. Take a bow, skip!

Oh dear, Markande strikes and there goes KKR's hopes! This has not been Andre Russell's season as he continues to struggle with the bat

Markande tosses it up and Andre Russell goes for the big shot to clear the fence. He gets the elevation, but not the distance as the man at long on charges forward to take a smart catch.

DG: Rana finishes the 10th over with a mighty hit. 133 required off the last 10 overs. The onus is on the shoulders of Dre Russ and captain Nitish Rana.

Dre Russ, the new man in. Can he work his magic tonight?

Commentators curse has struck! The well set Narayan Jagadeesan departs. He was looking so, so good.

Markande tosses it up and entices the batter to go for the big shot. Jagadeesan slog sweeps it, but finds the man at deep mid who takes a brilliant diving catch. That ball was travelling fast. A good take by Glenn Phillips, one of the best fielders in the SRH camp.

DG: Last 22 balls have given KKR 59 runs. They are dealing in boundaries at the moment.

DROOPPPPPEED! Jagadeesan dropped at deep mid wicket!

Tossed up ball from Mayank Markande. Jagadeesan goes for a slog sweep and the top-edge goes high in the air. The fielder at deep mid charges forward for a diving catch, but spills it in the end.

Here's how the KKR wickets fell!

4,6, 4, 4,4,6

Welcome to the attack, Umran Malik. You can't just reply on raw pace. Where is the line? where is the length? Width provided outside the off and Nitish Rana hammers it over the cover region. Nothing is working for Umran. He is bowling short and Rana is dealing with it. Geez, I doubt Umran will get another over in this game.

Now Nitish Rana has joined the party!

He is using Umran Malik's raw pace to perfection. Short of a length ball. The idea was to pepper Rana with a bumper. The southpaw clears the front leg and hoicks it over deep mid wicket. KKR gaining some momentum here.

First maximum of the innings! Jagadeesan on the charge now

Length ball, right in the radar as he clears the front leg and smashes it over long on. KKR need more of these. That'll give him loads of confidence.....

DG: Nitish Rana has to play a blinder if KKR are to win this contest. Can't always rely on the lower middle order to win you games.

Jansen gets two in two! This is terrific stuff from the South African.

Narine just can't clear the field. Slightly short of a length as Narine straightaway goes for a big shot. He gets a top-edge and the mid-on fielder is in action once again for a catch. Trouble calling for KKR. Rinku for the rescue once again?

Another one bites the dust! Second blow to the Knight Riders!

Good length ball on the leg stump line. Venkatesh Iyer misses the flick as the ball takes the top-edge and the man at mid on runs forward to take a clean catch. This is a horrendous start for KKR. They have lost two wickets in quick succession.

DG: Jagadeesan dancing down the track to negate the swing of Bhuvneshwar Kumar. An interesting tactics.

This is what Brook said after that heroic knock

"Thank you very much, cheers. Not really, have had a bit of trouble against spin. They used it as a matchup against me and in the powerplays as well. I tried to rotate the strike and play the shots. Hope in the rest of the competition, I get some more hundreds.

Yeah, absolutely, it's a belter of a pitch. We have to bowl our lengths and have to pick wickets regularly. This is the world's best chasing team. My girlfriend is here and the family had left. I'm sure they'll be happy for me. Cheers guys, thank you very much."

Marco Jansen from the other end!

DG: What a great first over by one of the IPL greats! Bhuvneshwar Kumar right on the money. Just a solitary run in that first over.

First blood drawn by Bhuvi! He picks up the opening KKR wicket!

Good length, shaping away from Gurbaz who throws the bat at it. The ball takes the outer part of the bat and the man at deep point takes a regulation catch.

DG: If any team can chase this mammoth total, it has to be the Knight Riders. But there's still one question loomering around - Will Andre Russell come out to bat?

Washington Sundar has come in as a replacement player. Harry Brook takes a well deserving break.

DG: Right then, we are moments away from the KKR chase. Another Rinku Singh special coming? Or will SRH defend the total with ease?

9:12 PM | Harry Brook's century has helped Sunrisers Hyderabad smash the highest team total (228) in IPL 2023. The Englishman was aided by the SRH skipper Aiden Markram, who scored a 26-ball fifty.

None of the Kolkata Knight Riders' bowler barring Sunil Narine could keep the SRH batters quiet. Except Narine, all of them conceded runs at the rate of above 10. Andre Russell took three wickets but had to walk off the field in the middle of his third over as he felt a discomfort.

Sunrisers Hyderabad finish the innings at 228/4.

Brook has done it. Scores his maiden IPL ton. Living up SRH's expectations, he has yield a good return on the big bucks given to him. First-ever century for any batter in IPL 2023.

Aayush: Heinrich Klaasen straightaway takes off. Smashes two back-to-back boundaries. SRH are at 215/4 with an over left in the innings.

A full-delivery by Shardul. Brook makes room for himself and carves it through covers for a four. He is batting on 94 runs now.

Aayush: Andre Russell is experiencing some difficulty. Shardul Thakur will complete the rest of the over. Ominous signs for KKR.

Heinrich Klaasen is the new batter.

Abhishek Sharma hits one straight up in the air and is caught at long-on. Andre Russell takes his third wicket in the match.

200 runs are up for SRH. Brook moves in to the 90s. Two overs are remaining in the innings.

Aayush: On a night where every bowler has been belted, Sunil Narine concedes just 28 runs in four overs.

Abhishek joins the act. Gets after the economical bowler of the innings, Narine, and treats him with a couple of boundaries, including a six.

Four, four, four!!! Brook pummels the ball straight at Suyash, who even could not react. Add two more boundaries in the over. SRH are 172/3 at the end of the 16th.

A full-toss and Brook drives it for a four. Second boundary in Ferguson's over. And make that third. It's a no-ball as well. He goes fine now to collect four more runs. There is no stopping him. Carves the ball away to bring up five boundaries in the over. 23 runs off it.

8:41 PM | SRH take a review. On-field decision is out and it gets overturned.

That's gone into the night sky and it's a gigantic six. Brook is going all-out now.

8:36 PM | Umpire signals for a strategic break.

Shardul Thakur puts down a catch. A rather easy one. Abhishek Sharma survives.

Abhishek Sharma is the new batter.

Chakaravarthy agains bowls in Markram's arc. However, to the spinner's good luck, the SRH skipper could not time the slog well enough and is caught at deep mid-wicket.

A quicker one by Chakaravarthy. Almost 107 kph. Still, Markram steps out of the crease and creams the ball for a boundary. Gets a six as well and completes his fifty in just 25 balls.

Markram is toying with Suyash. Finds maximums in both sides of the ground. Then, picks him early and plays a reverse sweep to score 16 runs in the over that includes two sixes and a four.

DG: 100 up for SRH. With 9 overs to go, and a set Harry Brook in place, they'll be eyeing the 200-run mark for sure.

Brook brings up his maiden IPL fifty on 32 deliveries.

Aayush: SRH are 94/2 at the half-way mark.

Markram tonks a biggie. Flighted delivery by Suyash. Although it was not struck that nicely but the ball had enough wings on it to go over the long-off fielder.

Dropped!!! Brook hammers a powerful strike and the ball comes straight at Suyash. But a tough chance goes begging.

Suyash Sharma will bowl the 10th over.

Time-out!

A short-pitch ball and Markram gets all of it. Clears the deep square-leg boundary.

Aayush: Powerplay is done and SRH are 65/2. Harry Brook is batting on 39 off 17 deliveries.

Varun Chakaravarthy is the new bowler.

Aiden Markram is in at no.4.

Tripathi takes on a short-delivery. But could only manage a top-edge. The catch gets taken by the wicket-keeper. Second wicket in the over for Russell.

Low full-toss by Russell and Tripathi flicks it away for four more runs.

Rahul Tripathi walks in to bat and he continues from where he left in the previous match. Plays a pull and gets a boundary.

KKR brings in Andre Russell and he bags a wicket on the very first delivery. Mayank Agarwal tries to guide it to the left of the third-man fielder but fails to do so and gets caught.

Sunil Narine comes into the attack.

Another full toss and Brook does not let it go unpunished. Attains a maximum, first of the match. Betters the over with another biggie. SRH are 43/0 at the end of the third.

A full-toss and Brook crunches a square drive with disdain. Four more runs added to SRH's total.

A bouncer that flies over the wicket-keeper for five wides.

Lockie Ferguson will bowl from the other end.

Harry Brook leans into a drive and starts off the innings with a boundary. And now pulls a ball targeted on his body for another four. Follows that up with a scoop. Third boundary of the over.

7:29 PM | Mayank Agarwal and Harry Brook are opening the batting for SRH. Umesh Yadav will bowl the first over of the match.

Aayush: SRH are batting first and they have not included even one of Washington Sundar and Abdul Samad in their starting XI. Both of them are among the Impact Player options but surely SRH could have added one of them in place of someone like Natarajan.

Impact Player Substitutions

Kolkata Knight Riders: David Wiese, Venkatesh Iyer, Anukul Roy, Mandeep Singh, Kulwant Khejroliya

Sunrisers Hyderabad: Abdul Samad, Vivrant Sharma, Glenn Phillips, Mayank Dagar, Washington Sundar

Playing XIs

Sunrisers Hyderabad: Harry Brook, Mayank Agarwal, Rahul Tripathi, Aiden Markram (c), Heinrich Klaasen (wk), Abhishek Sharma, Mayank Markande, Marco Jansen, T Natarajan, Umran Malik, Bhuvneshwar Kumar

Kolkata Knight Riders: Rahmanullah Gurbaz (wk), Narayan Jagadeesan, Nitish Rana (c), Rinku Singh, Andre Russell, Sunil Narine, Shardul Thakur, Umesh Yadav, Lockie Ferguson, Varun Chakravarthy, Suyash Sharma

Aiden Markram (Sunrisers Hyderabad Captain): Yeah, happy the way it has gone. Would have liked to bowl that's the trend these days. But okay with batting first. Looks quite a good wicket, generally a high-scoring wicket but yes happy to bat first. It does help, so it's nice to get a win, and all good in the camp. It's a fresh start today and nice to be in. We have got one change- Abhishek Sharma comes in and Washi [Washington Sundar] goes out. I think it's a ground that will reward you with good cricketing shots. We are going to play our game and play our shots, looking forward to it.

Nitish Rana (Kolkata Knight Riders Captain): We are bowling first. We are practicing since the past couple of days and saw some dew. We want to chase keeping that in mind. We are playing the same XI.

Toss Update

Kolkata Knight Riders opt to bowl.

Pitch Report (Mpumelelo Mbangwa & Nick Knight): Here were are, it is the Eden Gardens. This place is absolutely fantastic. It is a little bit muggy. Welcome, it is going to be a bit of testing for all the players. 75 meters straight, that will not be a lot of problems. 64 and 65 meters square boundaries, which means a lot of sixes.[Knight] Last game here against RCB, it was all about the spinners. Chakravarthy bowled brilliantly. I thought we would get to see a shaven pitch. I see there are lots of cracks. It's really hard and there are some grass. Then you have got someone like Umran Malik and Lockie Ferguson. Don't bowl short here. They might look to bowl a little bit fuller, because little bit longer back behind the bowlers, so they might look to bowl a little bit fuller. I thought it would be prepared for spinners but I feel we are not going to see a lot of turn. [Mbangwa] 196 is the average, you expect something upward than that? [Knight] Maybe let's not get to carried away by that. For all those we have said, if you are a KKR fan, this is all about Rinku.

Head-to-Head

Fantasy Tips 👇

6:40 PM | Toss coming up 20 minutes from now.

Sunrisers Hyderabad too returned to winning ways as Aiden Markram and Co. obtained their first victory of IPL 2023 versus Punjab Kings. A clinical effort by the bowlers was followed by Rahul Tripathi special as SRH attained an eight-wicket win.

Kolkata Knight Riders head to this game on the back of a win that could only be made possible by Rinku Singh's final over heroics. If you still are not aware of Rinku's gargantuan effort, he pulled off a heist of an extent that required him to score 28 runs in deliveries. He did so by smashing Yash Dayal for five consecutive sixes and won the second match on the trot for KKR.

Hello and welcome to OneCricket's live blog for the 19th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023, scheduled between Kolkata Knight Riders and Sunrisers Hyderabad at Eden Gardens.
