Virat Kohli's much-awaited Ranji comeback has been a roller-coaster ride of emotions. Fans flocked the stadium to see their hero in action at the Arun Jaitely stadium, but on day 2, they were in for a rude shock as Kohli was dismissed for just six off 15 balls in the opening session.

It was Himanshu Sangwan, the right-arm pacer from Railways who got the big wicket of Virat Kohli and it brought him into the limelight instantly. Before the Delhi game, Himanshu had 77 wickets in 23 first-class games and also got four wickets in the last game. So, he is the man in form and behind the success at the domestic level, there has been lot of hardwork over the years.

Himanshu Sangwan's Tough Journey To Success

Himanshu Sangwan was born in Najafgarh on September 2, 1995 and worked as a ticket collector at the New Delhi Railway Station and then worked under the great Australian bowler Glenn McGrath at the MRF Pace Academy. At one point in time,  he was Rishabh Pant's teammate at the U19 level but could not make a swift rise like some of the other players.

The bowler even tried to play for Haryana, but it did not go in his favour, and then it was the job in Indian Railways that opened up new door for the the Delhi-lad. He got the chance to play for Railways while working and has been doing quite well since 2019. He would now be hoping to continue on the good work and take rapid strides in Indian cricket from hereon.
