Former England cricketer Eoin Morgan brought down the curtains on his professional cricketing career on February 13, 2023.

Announcing about his retirement on social media, Morgan looked back at his career, thanking his close ones for being a pillar of support to him.

After having called time on his international career in June 2022, the 2019 World Cup-winning captain was actively involved in his stints at the latest season of The Hundred and SA20

He played his last professional game for the Paarl Royals, scoring 17 runs in a crucial semi-final encounter against Pretoria capitals.

While the 36-year-old will no longer be seen in action on the field, he will be donning a full-time role of a commentator and a pundit.

Morgan's retirement post

"It is with great pride that I am announcing my retirement from all forms of cricket. After much deliberation, I believe that now is the right time to step away from the game that has given me so much over the years. From moving to England in 2005 to join Middlesex, right up to the very end, playing for Paarl Royals in SA20, I have cherished every moment."
