Cometh the hour, cometh the man - Cameron Green on Saturday celebrated his second and successive half-century in the Indian Premier League. If it wasn't enough, the lanky Australian all-rounder's spellbinding knock helped in Mumbai Indians' cause to look to chase down a mighty target of 215 runs.

Coming out at number 3, Green completed his fifty off 37 deliveries, amassing five boundaries and two meaty sixers in his knock.

After MI lost Ishan Kishan early in the chase, the 23-year-old Green came to the crease to join the party with skipper Rohit Sharma. The all-rounder was the first to accelerate for the five-time champions, but he did a mindful job when Rohit started his poetry-like hitting.

And after Rohit’s dismissal, the silk-stocker joined forces with Suryakumar Yadav. Again, with his partner being on-song, Green took the other road. However, after the 12th-over mark, the big-hitting all-rounder turned as if he would have become the green-coloured Hulk.

The all-rounder completed his fifty on his 37th ball with a boundary off Rahul Chahar. He celebrated the milestone by smoking Nathan Ellis for a four and a sixer, before the bowler penalised him for playing one too many strokes.

Eventually, Green’s innings came to an end on 67 off 43 balls, including six fours and three biggies.

At the moment, the game hangs in balance as MI are at 175-3 after 17 overs, with Surya going all guns blazing at 57*, but they still need 40 off the remaining three overs.
