Punjab Kings may have lost the plot when Piyush Chawla bagged two wickets in a single over. At the midway of the innings, PBKS were down and crawling at 83-4, but knocks from Sam Curran, Harpreet Singh Bhatia, and Jitesh Sharma helped them mount a gigantic total of 214/8 in their quota of 20 overs, meaning they have notched 30 runs ahead of the respective score.

After the halfway mark, stand-in skipper Curran and Bhatia tried building a partnership. They initially depended on singles and doubles, but a 31-run Arjun Tendulkar over shifted the momentum in PBKS' way.

MI's skipper tried Jofra Archer to put a lid on the runs, but he, too, got thumped for a boundary and a maximum in the over by Curran and Bhatia, respectively.

The Punjab batters kept going for big runs as they thwacked Cam Green for four sixers in an over at the cost of Bhatia's wicket at 41.

After Bhatia's dismissal, Curran partnered with Jitesh Sharma, who started with two mighty hits. And, Curran kept his foot on the accelerator and smashed a fifty off 26 balls - his fifty of the season and third overall - before Archer removed Curran.

Jitesh, in the last over, tonked two maximums and lost his breath, which brought Harpreet Brar to the crease to hit a boundary.

At the midway, Punjab have posted a mighty total of 214 at Wankhede.
