Sussex have strengthened their squad for the upcoming domestic season. Australian all-rounder, Nathan McAndrew has been roped in by the club to play in both County Championship and T20 Blast 2023.

McAndrew has already played for Warwickshire last season, and coach Paul Farbrace is delighted to have him in the squad.

The 2022 Championship season was a stellar one for the all-rounder, having picked up 20 wickets, with best figures of 4 for 85 coming against Lancashire.

The 29-year-old is also a valuable batter, having scored two half-centuries last season, at an average of 34.75.

He has been a pivotal member of the Sydney Thunder side in the ongoing Big Bash League. McAndrew has scalped 13 wickets to help his side qualify for the knockout stage.

The Australian was delighted after his latest move and spokw with great enthusiasm.

“I can’t wait to get to England to play with Sussex, I thoroughly enjoyed my time in County cricket last year and I am looking forward to taking the next step in my career playing red and white ball cricket this season.

“I look forward to teaming back up with Paul Farbrace and contributing to Sussex’s success.”

McAndrew will be riding high on confidence after a top-notch BBL season, and he'll be looking to carry the same confidence in the English domestic season.
