As of late, Shikhar Dhawan has come under scrutiny for his strike-rate in T20s. Earlier in the week, commentator Harsha Bhogle on Twitter questioned Dhawan's strike-rate in the shortest format of the game as the PBKS skipper took a while to settle in against the Rajasthan Royals.

Bhogle reckoned that Dhawan has the game-play to up the ante and should play an aggressive brand of cricket.

However, in the IPL match against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) Dhawan batted throughout the innings and was the lone warrior for his side as the southpaw smashed 99 off 66 and barely missed out on a deserving hundred. Interestingly, the entire team scored just 143 and it showed the value of Dhawan's knock.

At the post-match presentation with Harsha Bhogle, Dhawan took a sly dig at the commentator and asked if now he was happy with his strike-rate. Later on, Bhogle took to Twitter and stated that after the match, he had a 'mature' conversation with Dhawan and the PBKS batter stated that he had trouble in hitting boundaries against RR, and that's why his strike-rate was so low in the game.

This is what Bhogle tweeted

“Had a lovely chat with Shikhar post game, always easy conversation with him, where he said he was trying to play shots the other day but struggled. And that the form of Prabhsimran and his own calmness and experience allowed him to ride over the situation. We have mature chats.

“Sometimes, only sometimes, the end overcomes the beginning. It doesn't justify the beginning. But you know, everyone has some days where everything goes right and others where you struggle and overcome. Our job is to observe, it is never personal. That is where you build respect,” Bhogle tweeted.

Talking about the match, 143 was not enough for PBKS as Rahul Tripathi's unbeaten 74 off 48 helped Sunrisers get their first points on the board.
