India's preparations for the ICC World Cup 2023 started on a sour note, with a loss to Bangladesh in the ongoing three-match series.

Apart from the results, a string of injuries have further hampered the team's strategy and plans, as said by coach Rahul Dravid after the loss in the second match on Wednesday.

Team India is expected to make several changes in the playing XI for the final ODI on Saturday.

Speaking to Sony Sports, former India international Ajay Jadeja has urged Dravid and Co. to debut Tripathi and Patidar in Chattogram, as the duo will likely be benched with Rohit Sharma's return in the future.

Here's what Jadeja said

"I am Tripathi's huge fan because he has come in after putting the hard yards but the way I saw Patidar playing, there is a time for a youngster when he is playing well and has come through extremely good form. It will be unfair to drop anyone but when the merry-go-round is going, why do you want these two players standing in the queue,

"When you are playing everyone and want to give only one match and check, this is probably the last chance, they might not be there on the next tour."

India's next white-ball series will be against Sri Lanka consisting of three T20Is and as many ODIs starting January 3, 2023.
