In an exclusive chat with OneCricket, U19 batter Sachin Dhas revealed that he met flamboyant all-rounder Hardik Pandya to seek valuable left lessons, and the latter’s rollercoaster journey inspired him and as he expressed gratitude for the life and support he has had from his parents.
Sachin Dhas, India’s emerging middle-order batter, first grabbed the limelight for his noteworthy knocks in the U19 World Cup 2024. The Maharashtra-born finished as 5th highest run scorer of the tournament with 303 runs and a 116.53 strike rate in 7 games.
Dhas came to the rescue when India were down to 31/4 in the semi-final against South Africa. He slammed 95 off 96 balls and gathered a 171-run partnership with skipper Uday Saharan as India won the match by 2 wickets and entered the finals.
Before the semi-finals, Sachin Dhas also slammed a century against Nepal in the league stage game. While India lost the U19 World Cup, Dhas made a name for himself with his magic with the bat.
