Seasoned campaigner Sunil Narine is once again set to weave his magic for the Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL 2025. One of the highest wicket-takers in the history of T20 cricket, the 36-year-old has already tested some of the finest and greatest batters the game had to offer over the past decade-and-a-half.

On Wednesday, March 19, i.e., just a couple of days prior to the launch of IPL 2025, Narine gave an interesting take when he was asked to name the most difficult batter to dismiss between Indian cricketing legends, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli.

In an exclusive event conducted by Parimatch, OneCricket’s senior correspondent Anurag Dasgupta had a chat with 2012 T20 World Cup winner for the West Indies and a multi-IPL winner for KKR, Sunil Narine. During the interview, Narine was asked to give his take on the most difficult batter to dismiss between Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma.

Refusing to single out between the two modern-day batting legends, the West Indies cricketer described both Indian batters as “quality players”, and asserted that any possible outcome will entirely be depended upon the game situation and condition. He said:

“Its all about the situation. They are both quality players. Somedays it’ll be in my favor somedays it’ll be in their favor.”

Sunil Narine picked up 17 wickets and hammered down 488 runs for the KKR in their title-winning IPL run back in 2024 last year. Retained by KKR, the 36-year-old is set to reprise his role in IPL 2025 for the franchise.

On March 22, the defending champions will go up against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at the iconic Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
