ZIM vs PAK Highlights: Agha Salman Wrecks ZIM Middle-Order After Ahmed’s Early Strike
Pakistan ODI debutant Abrar Ahmed knocked over Zimbabwe opener Joylord Gumbie for just five in the fourth over after the early runout of Tadiwanashe Marumani. Agha Salman capitalized on the momentum and broke a threatening partnership between number three Dion Myers (33 off 30) and hosts captain Craig Ervine (18 off 35) by trapping both in successive overs.
Salman also deceived Sikandar Raza for a run-a-ball 17 a while later as Zimbabwe slipped to 97-5 around the halfway stage of the innings. The Pakistani off-spinner ended up seizing figures of 3-26 from his seven-over spell.

Senior man Sean Williams at number five punched out a fighting 31 from 39 balls to navigate Zimbabwe past the 100-run mark. However, with wickets tumbling at the other end, Williams lost momentum and was entrapped by Saim Ayub in front of stumps against the run of play. Debutant Ahmed added three more to his tally in the form of Brandon Mavuta, Richard Ngarava and Brian Bennett to pocket figures of 4-33 in eight overs.
Faisal Akram toppled Zimbabwe number 10 Blessing Muzarabani to bag the final wicket on offer with a tossed-up delivery as the hosts folded up for just 145 in 32.3 overs.
ZIM vs PAK Highlights: Saim Ayub’s Record Ton Catalyze 10-Wicket Win For PAK
Chasing 146 for a win, Pakistan openers Saim Ayub and Abdullah Shafique got off to a flier, racing to a 50-run partnership in eight overs and to a team 100 in just 13.2 overs. While Shafique employed a cautious approach, Ayub put up a batting exhibition as his belligerent flamboyance fetched him a 32-ball half-century.
Ayub converted it into a 53-ball century to record the third fastest individual hundred by any Pakistani batter in ODI history. His whirlwind knock, coupled with Abdullah Shafique’s cunning 32* helped Pakistan gun down Zimbabwe’s 145 with all their 10 wickets intact in just 18.2 overs.
The two teams will now face each other in the final ODI of their three-match series on November 28 at the same venue.
