[Watch] Ravindra Jadeja Cleans Up Shanto As He Misses Over-Ambitious Reverse Sweep

Ravindra Jadeja got to 300-wicket landmark in the first innings of the Kanpur Test against Bangladesh and now has started off second innings with a bang as well. The left-arm spinner got the big wicket of well-set Bangladesh skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto in his very first over. 

It was the second delivery of the 28th over and both Shanto and Shadman Islam were looking solid. India got the wicket of Mominul Haque early in the day, but were finding to get the second wicket of the day, and Jadeja as he has been doing throughout his illustrious career found a breakthrough. It was a fuller delivery on the leg-stump line and Shanto went for a audacious reverse-sweep. He missed it completely though and the ball knocked over the leg pole in style.

Bangladesh Collapse After Shanto's Wicket

His wicket triggered a collapse and Bangladesh from 91-3, were reduced to 94-7 in no time. Jadeja picked two important wickets of Litton Das and Shakib Al Hasan while Akash Deep got well-set Shadman Islam to put Bangladesh in all sorts of trouble.

At the time of writing, Bangladesh have lead of just 42 runs and with three wickets in hand, India look set for another thumping win. Bangladesh started the day at 26-2, and there was hope that if they bat well in the first innings, it would stop India from whitewashing this series. However, Indian bowlers have once again show their class in crunch situation, and would now be looking to wrap up Bangladesh's innings as quickly as possible.
