Jaiswal became the first batter to slam 1,000 international runs in 2024. He achieved the milestone in 13 matches, showcasing his prowess across formats.

Jaiswal dominates 2024 like no other

The hallmark of the year was the home series against England. Jaiswal hammered the visitors and scored two double centuries, which propelled India to a series win. He accumulated 712 runs in the series, at a strike-rate of 79.91.

He then continued his great run of form in the Zimbabwe series, piling up 141 runs in 3 matches, with a strike-rate of 165.88. It ensured that the World Champions, India won yet another T20I series. Before the series against Zimbabwe, the left-handed batter was a part of the T20 World Cup, but didn't get to play a single match.

In the ongoing series in Sri Lanka, Jaiswal showcased his dominance and slammed a quick-fire 40 off 21 balls as India won the match comfortably.

In total, Jaiswal has scored 1005 runs across formats in 2024, including 2 centuries, and 5 fifties. Both his centuries came up against England, which were then converted into double tons.
