After going for a plenty in the first T20I against Sri Lanka, Hardik Pandya had his redemption when he got the prized scalp of the dangerous looking Kusal Perera.

Perera was looking in ominous touch against the Indian bowlers, but a moment of brilliance from Rinku in the deep, combined with Hardik's perfect ploy got India the much needed wicket. The left-handed batter was going all guns blazing and had already reached a commendable half-century.

Indian skipper turned to Hardik Pandya and he didn't disappoint the new skipper. Hardik bowled a sharp slower delivery and dismissed the well-set batter. Perera wanted to clear the field as he went for the big heave and just didn't get the elevation.

Rinku Singh stationed at deep square leg charges towards the ball and puts in the perfect dive to grab the ball inches above the ground. As he took the wicket, the Indian all-rounder gave a death stare to the departing batter. Also, this was not the first time in the game that Hardik-Rinku combined to get the breakthrough.

Just a couple of balls before the Perera dismissal, Hardik got the dangerous Kamindu Mendis in the same fashion, as Rinku took the catch in the deep once again.

The dismissal of Perera brought the downfall as Sri Lanka lost two more wickets in quick successions as India snatched the momentum from the Sri Lankan camp.
