Speaking of the game, the Hobart Hurricanes' skipper Ben McDermott won the toss and asked the Sixers to bat first. At the time of the rain interruption, the opening pair of Babar Azam and Steve Smith was there in the middle for the Sixers.
The duo had added 32 runs in five overs before the rain forced them to stop play. Babar and Smith went back to the pavilion with the individual scores of nine runs off 14 balls and 19 runs off 16 balls.
