Pakistan and Sri Lanka are set to lock horns in the first T20I of the three-match series ahead of the ICC T20 World Cup 2026. The T20I series opener will be played on Wednesday, January 7, in Dambulla. Interestingly, both teams will face each other in a bilateral series after a long wait of more than 6 years since October 2019.
The bilateral series in 2019 between Pakistan and Sri Lanka was played in Pakistan, where Sri Lanka whitewashed the hosts 3-0 to clinch the series. Now, the Men in Green will be eyeing clearing off the books with the Islanders for the last series defeat.
