Rain has continuously played spoilsport in Colombo during Women's World Cup 2025 matches, which have washed out quite a few matches. It has now halted proceedings during the final league stage clash at the venue between Sri Lanka Women and Pakistan Women as well.

Currently, the toss has been delayed due to heavy downpour and the threat of another washout is looming large. Both Pakistan and Sri Lanka are out of the tournament and would be looking to play some cricket to salvage some pride in this Women's World Cup 2025.

Rain threatens to spoil final matches of Pakistan and Sri Lanka

According to Accuweather.com, the temperature will hover around in late 20s while the precipitation chances are 99 percent on October 24. There is likely to be a dry period from 5 pm till 7 pm but the rain is expected to arrive once again once the sun sets. Thus, the chance of having a good amount of cricket is quite slim and if at all the game happens, it is likely to be a highly curtailed one.

The cloud cover for the day is 87 percent, thus the conditions will be overcast throughout the day and expect the batters to have an hard time if and when the game starts. Sri Lanka and Pakistan have been at the receiving end of the rain threat throughout the tournament. The Lankan girls have lost two matches due to rain while two more matches have been curtailed by rain.

Pakistan also have lost two matches due to rain and both teams would be itching to showcase their skills at the R. Premadasa stadium in their final game of the marquee event.
