MS Dhoni is almost a cult figure in Indian cricket for his contributions as a captain and as a batter. He enjoys love from all over the cricketing universe, but CSK fans have a special bond with him, and his crazy fanbase can be seen in almost all the matches he played in the IPL.

The scenes at the Chepauk are even crazier, and one such event was in IPL 2024. On April 8, during the game between CSK and KKR, MS Dhoni and Ravindra Jadeja teased fans with their act. CSK were in a winning position, and with formalities remaining after the loss of the third wicket, fans expected MS Dhoni to walk out to bat.

However, they initially went silent when they saw Ravindra Jadeja walking out of the dressing room. The emotions changed drastically, though, when Jadeja suddenly returned and MS Dhoni walked out to the middle. The crowd went crazy, and now Tushar Deshpande, in conversation with Ajinkya Rahane, shared the details of the event. 

Tushar Despande recalls special moment of IPL 2024 with MS Dhoni

In a video released on the official YouTube channel of Ajinkya Rahane, Tushar Despande mentioned that it was MS Dhoni's plan to tease fans. He recalled that Dhoni asked him to tell Ravindra Jadeja to just act like he is going out to bat. The plan was that Jadeja would take a U-turn, and then Dhoni would walk out to the middle like a King.

Tushar Deshpande mentioned that once Dhoni walked out to the middle, the crowd went crazy, and the cheering was on a whole other level that day. CSK eventually won that game with MS Dhoni staying unbeaten on 1 off 3 balls and captain Ruturaj Gaikwad at the other end on 67.
