Will KL Rahul Open With Faf Du Plessis In RCB vs DC IPL 2025 Match?

The match number 24 of the Indian Premier League is all set to unleash. RCB are up against DC, and it promises to be a blockbuster game between two teams who have played quality cricket this season.

RCB have lost only one out of their four matches, while DC have won all their games. This is the game at the home of RCB, and it would be a high-scoring encounter. Axar Patel has won the toss and has elected to chase and one of the big question is that who will open for DC with Faf du Plessis back in the side.

In the last match against CSK, Faf du Plesis did not play the game and so KL Rahul was promoted to the top of the order. However, with Faf du Plessis back, DC are all set to go with him and Jake Fraser-McGurk at the top of the order with KL Rahul back at number 4. It was confirmed by Axar Patel during the toss, and it shows that DC management want KL to control the middle overs in this IPL.

"We will bowl first. The finger is fine, I am protecting it but if needed I will bowl 4 overs. Faf is fit so he is back in, Sameer Rizvi is out. Faf and Jake will open the innings so KL Rahul will bat lower in the middle order."

However, Jake Fraser-McGurk need to score runs at the top as he has not been able to repeat the heroics of the last season so far. The pitch at the Chinnaswamy is likely to help his style of play while Faf du Plessis with his experience of leading RCB in the past would also like to make big contribution.
