Liam Livingstone was handed captaincy ahead of the ODI series against West Indies, and the extra responsibility seem to be helping his batting, as the charismatic right-hander smashed unbeaten 124 to take his side to a five-wicket victory in the second ODI. England won the game by five wickets and they chased down the target of 329 set by West Indies with great ease in the 48th over of the match.

The victory has helped England level the series with one final game to go at the Bridgetown, Barbados. Liam Livingstone has shown some good form in the last couple of series and in the first match of this tour too, he scored 48 and took a wicket with ball in the losing cause. However, in a do-or-die match, he decided to step up his game further and took the responsibility of taking his side over the line.

England's Attacking Approach Neutralises Shai Hope's Century

West Indies posted a healthy total of 328 on the back of their skipper Shai Hope's century. England needed a good start but they lost two wickets early. However, their batters continued to bat with positive intent and Phil Salt scored 59 off 59 balls before losing his wicket in the 21st over. Outwalked Liam Livingstone then and he first built a decent stand with Bethell and then combined with Sam Curran to take England close to the target.

Liam Livingstone was brutal against both pacers and spinners and smashed nine sixes and five fours in his knock. He got to his maiden ODI century with a single to long on in just 77 deliveries and in the next over, smashed three sixes and a four against Shamar Joseph to help England finish off things quickly.

The final match of the series will be on Wednesday, 6th of November at Barbados and it promises to be a cracking game with both captains itching to grab a series win.
