In a significant development, Mumbai Indians (MI) have won the toss and opted to bowl first in their fourth group-stage match of the ongoing IPL 2025 season. At toss, MI skipper Hardik Pandya revealed that the hosts would bowl first in order to capitalise on the playing conditions in Mumbai.

Why Has Rohit Sharma Been Excluded From MI's Playing XI?

Meanwhile, former MI captain Rohit Sharma hasn't been included in the playing XI for the high-voltage match against RCB. It's worth mentioning that the ex-skipper couldn't play the last game after he sustained an unfortunate knee injury.

However, at toss, MI captain Hardik Pandya confirmed that Rohit would be available for this match. But, as he has just recovered from a knee injury, MI might've decided to use him purely as a batter in the second innings.

He is one of the five impact substitutes that MI have chosen for this high-profile affair. Despite struggling with poor form, Rohit is the front-runner to open the batting for the five-time champions in the second half of the match.
