Litton Das, the charismatic wicketkeeper batter of Bangladesh has not been selected in the playing XI for the second and final Test against South Africa in Chattogram. According to Bangladesh's skipper Najmul Hasan Shanto, Das is sick along with Jaker Ali and so both of them have been excluded from the playing XI.
Bangladesh have made three changes to the playing XI that featured in the first Test match with Nayeem Hasan also out of the XI along with Litton Das and Jaker Ali. Mahidul Islam Ankon, Nahid Rana and Zakir Hasan have been fitted into the XI. As far as toss is concerned, South Africa have won the toss and they have decided to bat first and they have brought in Dane Paterson and Senuran Muthusamy in place of Dane Piedt and Matthew Breetzke.
Bangladesh Eye Comeback Despite Loss Of Litton Das
Litton Das has recently not been in great form and could manage just eight runs in two innings of the first Test match. However, he is one of the senior cricketers and the one who has scored runs consistently in the past. So, it is a big blow for Bangladesh and they would be hoping that other players step up in his absence.
South Africa are ahead in the series with a 1-0 lead as they won the first Test by seven wickets. Bangladesh, on the other hand, would be looking to bounce back in the second Test and for that they need their batters to come up with bigger performances, something which they could not do in the opening Test.
