Azam Khan, the wicketkeeper batter of Pakistan has been dropped from the high-profile encounter against India with Imad Wasim replacing him after getting fully fit. Azam Khan has been heavily criticised in recent times for his lacklustre performance with the bat, and also departed for a golden duck in Pakistan's loss against USA few days back.
The match is being played at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York and Babar Azam decided to bowl first after winning the all-important toss.

Talking about Azam Khan, he has scored just 88 runs in 13 T20I innings so far, and has an average of 8.88. So, the decision of dropping him was an obvious one once Imad got fit as he provides more stability with the bat alongside his credentials with the ball.
This is also an important game for Pakistan after their loss against USA, and another loss here will put their qualification for the next round in jeopardy. For India, this is a chance to make it two in two and solidify their position in Group A.
