After a jubilant victory in the first T20I, India and England are back as they gear up to meet each other once again in the upcoming match. The second T20I of the five-match series will take place at the iconic MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on 25 January, Saturday. The game will witness a fierce battle between Suryakumar Yadav's India and Jos Buttler's Englishmen.

Abhishek Sharma Ruled Out?

Before the match, a big scare comes for the Indian side as their star opener Abhishek Sharma twisted his ankle in the nets. While the severity of his injury is yet to be disclosed, it does hamper India's chances of dominating the Three Lions in the power play. Last time,  Abhishek was the star, blasting the second-fastest T20I half-century for India against England off just 20 balls. It is also expected that Mohd. Shami, who missed the first T20I will also be out of the playing XI. Apart from this, the Men In Blue, would go with the same playing XI for 2nd T20I.

On the other hand, updates coming from the England side revealed that Brydon Carse will be replacing Gus Atkinson and Jamie Smith has been added as the 12th man. It has been understood that Jacob Bethell is ill and in his absence it is highly likely that Jamie would be included.
