Babar Azam wretched run of form continued as the right-hander fell for a single run in the on-going second Test match between Pakistan and West Indies. His trouble against a left arm spinner was on full display as Gudakesh Motie bagged his first wicket of the day by removing him.
Babar, who was dismissed for just one run off five balls, was in affective with the bat. Even in the first Test match the batter was removed for low scores of 8(20) and 5(11). His cheap outing has once again highlighted his recent struggles with form.
Babar Azam Disappoints Vs West Indies
In the seventh over, Gudakesh Motie bowled a tossed up delivery around off, the ball after pitching skid through the surface. Babar was caught on the crease and looked too confused as he struggled to decide whether to come forward or stay back. Failing to read the line, he planted his front foot and looked to play the square cut. He was too late to get his bat down and the ball crashed onto the off-stump.
Thus, Babar Azam's horrid run of form continues as he departs for a low score. The variable bounce came into play and Babar was unable to adjust and got some bat on it and he had to pay the hefty price for it.
Multan Pitch Backfires As PAK Lose Babar, Shan
In the second Test match, West Indies won the toss and opted to bat first at Multan. The pressure increased drastically as wickets consistently kept on falling as Noman Ali scripted history by becoming the first spinner to pick a Test hat-trick. Nevertheless, Gudakesh Motie and Jomel Warrican's 68-run partnership changed the momentum as Windies ended their first innings at 163.
Coming out to bat, Pakistan has also lost three wickets in quick succession including skipper Shan Masood. At the time of writing, Pakistan are at 31/3 with Saud Shakeel and Kamran Ghulam out in the middle.
