Two fierce captains, Hardik Pandya and Rohit Sharma took the centre stage today, but it was the leader of the Gujarat Titans, Hardik Pandya who came out on top.
The two had a mini battle during the toss, when Rohit stated that till Monday, the pitch was hard, but it seems too much water has been poured on the surface for the moisture.
In reply, Hardik added that it's a good wicket to bat on and enough water has been poured to ensure that the wicket stays good for batting.
As everyone knows, Hardik is a great competitor and he prides in doing well for his side. So, when Hardik introduced himself to take down Rohit Sharma in the second innings, all eyes were on the GT skipper.
Chasing a tricky 208, MI needed a good start from their skipper, but that didn't happen as Hardik got the better of him.

On the last ball of the second over, Rohit moved on the leg side to a hard length delivery from Hardik. It seemed as if Rohit was dis-balanced as he tried to pull it on the leg side. The ball took the top-edge and Hardik took a calm and composed caught and ball on his own bowling.
Hardik was overjoyed and Rohit was dejected with the mode of dismissal.
At the time of writing, Mumbai Indians are tottering at 59 for 5.
