Yash Dhull is one of the most talented young cricketers in India and was the leader of the pack in India's victorious U19 World Cup campaign in 2022. Since then, he has performed consistently for Delhi in domestic cricket and has even played IPL. Now, he has started the new Ranji season with a bang as well, smashing 105 against Tamil Nadu as rest of the Delhi batters failed and Dhull single-handedly took his side's score over 250.

Yash Dhull Delivers Under Pressure For Delhi

Tamil Nadu posted a massive first innings score of 674 on the board with Sai Sudharsan scoring double century. Washington Sundar and Pradosh Paul also scored centuries and it was expected that Delhi batters will also score runs on a flat-looking pitch at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. However, they faltered and it was only Yash Dhull who kept his side going and hit unbeaten 105 off 197 balls which included 11 fours and three sixes. He came at number 3 and despite wickets falling at the other end, he never lost his composure and batted fluently, finding gaps and hitting boudaries at regular intervals.

He got to his century with a stunning six down the ground against M Mohammed in the 93rd over. It was a full delivery on middle and Yash Dhull unleashed a straight lofted drive to hit it all the way into the stands. He followed it up with a passionate celebration with all his teammates up on their feet to applaud a brilliant knock under pressure.

However, despite a century from Yash Dhull, Tamil Nadu still managed to get a massive lead of 408 in the first innings and are in a strong position in their away game.
