In a thrilling T20 World Cup 2024 match at the Kensington Oval in Barbados, England pacer Chris Jordan took a stunning hat-trick, with his joy visible on his face on June 23. 

Jordan delivered an exceptional performance, particularly in his third over, putting the USA team under immense pressure.

The incident occurred in the 19th over of USA's innings. Jordan first dismissed Corey Anderson on the very first ball of the over, with Anderson scoring 29 runs. 

On the third delivery, he bowled Ali Khan, who failed to connect with the ball, resulting in his off-stump being uprooted for a two-ball duck. 

Next, Jordan struck again on the fourth ball, this time trapping Nosthush Kenjige plumb in front for a clear LBW. The right-handed batter missed a flick and was pinned low on the front pad, with ball-tracking showing it crashing into the middle stump.

On the hat-trick ball, Jordan removed Saurabh Netravalkar with a 141kph delivery. Netravalkar, attempting to drive, was beaten on the inside edge, and the ball crashed into the middle stump for a golden duck. This legendary over saw Jordan take 4 wickets in 5 balls, restricting the USA to 115 in 18.5 overs.

Jordan’s exceptional performance etched his name in history as the 8th bowler to achieve a hat-trick in the T20 World Cup history, marking his best showing in the tournament so far.
