Nitish Kumar, the Indian politician recently grabbed plenty of headlines for his role as a potential king-maker after the results of India's general elections. Now, a 30-year-old cricketer with similar name, playing for USA is also gaining attention with his strokeplay in the T20 World Cup 2024.

In the group stage of the World Cup, he played a short little sparkling knock against India and has now repeated the same kind of knock against the defending champions, England. He scored 30 off 24 balls and hit two glorious sixes and a four in his knock. One of those six was against Reece Topley which was a statement-making shot.

It was the fifth over of the match, and on the second delivery Nitish smashed a boundary. It was followed by a six which was off a full delivery. It was bowled around leg and Nitish made room to hammer it over long on with great disdain.
