The die-hard Indian fans finally slept well last night as their national side finally managed to overcome the six-time World Champions but in a different format. The painful World Cup final defeat has been a bitter pill to swallow who were left heartbroken when they saw their near-invincible side falter badly at the last hurdle.

Nevertheless, Suryakumar Yadav shinned in his maiden T20I appearance as an Indian skipper and notched up a commanding score of 80 (42) to drive India home with just a ball to spare.

Following India’s thrilling victory last night, fans were overwhelmed with emotions to witness the end outcome. During a live conversation with one of the fans, a fan revealed that he was extremely delighted to see the spectacular batting performances of Suryakumar Yadav, Ishan Kishan, and Rinku Singh.

Furthermore, the fan also went on to claim that Team India succeeded in avenging their World Cup defeat by beating Australia in an intense run chase. Suryakumar, who was heavily criticised for his poor show in the WC final was credited immensely for yesterday’s T20I win. With the T20 World Cup looming large, these are positive indications for the young Indian side who put on a stellar show to tumble the Aussies last night.

India’s bowling department came under immense fire as they found themselves at the receiving end of Josh Inglis who blasted them for plenty. Prasidh and Bishnoi were the only wicket-takers for the Blues but went around the park and conceded at 12.5 RPO and 13.5 RPO respectively.

But it was India’s batting that came good during the second half of the match as Suryakumar Yadav (80 off 42) and Ishan Kishan (58 off 39) set the tone for to keep the Blues in the run chase. And in the end, it was Rinku Singh who played a fiery innings of 22* (14) to finish off the proceedings in some style.
