Royal Challengers Bangalore's batting maestro, Virat Kohli, exhibited his prowess yet again during the 58th IPL match against the Punjab Kings on May 9th.
Kohli, not only the reigning holder of the orange cap but also the backbone of RCB's batting lineup, approached the crease with the clear intent of steering his team to a formidable total after being invited to bat first by PBKS.
The match was briefly halted due to a hailstorm, but upon resumption, Kohli, accompanied by Cameron Green, resumed his onslaught.

In the 13th over, facing Liam Livingstone, Kohli unleashed his trademark strokeplay to notch up his fifty off 32 balls and gets his sixth half-century of the season. With impeccable timing and a deft flick of his wrists, Kohli dispatched the ball past mid-wicket for a boundary that left spectators in awe.
As the innings progressed, Kohli's partnership with Green continued to flourish, propelling RCB to a commanding position.
At the time of writing, RCB had amassed 164 runs for the loss of three wickets in 16 overs, with Kohli and Green holding firm at the crease, poised to further bolster their team's total.
