Virat Kohli never fails to entertain the crowd on the field with his naturally animated reactions. The talismanic batter did not let down his fans on Sunday either, as his reactions after Suryakumar Yadav’s heroic fielding caught the attention of many during India’s World Cup 2023 clash against the Netherlands at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru.

It was the sixth ball of the eighth over by Mohammed Shami, which Colin Ackermann pushed towards the off-side in an attempt to get a boundary. However, Suryakumar Yadav did not give up, as he ran like the last run of his life to save it.

And SKY successfully did after a flying effort, as Ackermann could only get three runs, instead of a certain four.

Kohli was astonished by SKY’s typical chase for the ball, and he could not control his laughter after the effort. Even Shubman Gill, who was placed at slip cordon beside Kohli, did the same.

Actually, Suryakumar Yadav pointed towards India’s fielding coach, T. Dilip, after the effort, as he demanded the medal from him which has been going here and there as the best fielder award during the ongoing World Cup 2023.

At the time of writing, the Dutch have steadied the ship well, having posted 66/1 after 12 overs after coming to chase an improbable target of 411.
