Team India captain Rohit Sharma's call to bowl first against the Men in Green in the World Cup encounter was completely justified by the excellent performance of their bowlers, who bowled Pakistan out for 191 runs in 42.5 overs at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad.

All bowlers, except Shardul Thakur, contributed with two wickets each. Jasprit Bumrah was a standout for India in terms of economy, as he conceded only 19 runs in his seven-over spell. Kuldeep Yadav was the second most economical, maintaining an economy rate of 3.50.

Pakistan's only real mojo on the field was when captain Babar Azam and wicket-keeper Mohammad Rizwan teamed up and pulled off an 82-run partnership for the third wicket. However, once they left the scene, it was like the Pakistan team fell apart faster than a house of cards in a tornado.

The last straw was added by Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, who successfully appealed for an LBW against Haris Rauf. The on-field umpire hesitated, prompting captain Rohit Sharma to use the DRS. When the DRS confirmed Rauf's dismissal, Virat Kohli erupted in joyful celebration.
