Virat Kohli - the ultimate legend of out beloved game - cricket has reached another significant milestone in his illustrious career. He is now the only the fourth Indian batter to get to 26000 international runs and got to the landmark in great fashion as well, smashing Hasan Mahmud for a maximum over long on. He went onto get a fantastic century as well, his 48th in ODIs, stamping his authority yet again with great finesse.

The historic moment came in the 39th over when Hasan Mahmud bowled a fullish delivery, around off.  Kohli stayed deep in his crease, picked the length quickly and tonked it over long on for a maximum. 

Virat Kohli earlier went past Mahela Jayawardene to become the fourth highest run-getter in international cricket and was 77 away from reaching 26000 international runs before the start of the game against Bangladesh. He became the fastest to reach 26000 runs as well, as he crossed the landmark in just 567 innings, beating Sachin's record who took 600 innings.

King Kohli though not only got 77 runs but also smashed unbeaten 103 off 97 balls. He got to his century with a six as well which were the winning runs as well, bringing a loud cheer at the jam-packed crowd assembled in Pune. 

India notched up their fourth win of the tournament in as many matches and will next play New Zealand on 22nd of October.
