Virat Kohli and his problem with deliveries outside off-stump is turning out to be one haunted movie for Indian cricket fans. Throughout the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, he has struggled with those deliveries and lost his wickets and now in the first innings of the final Test, the history has repeated itself.

The former Indian skipper battled hard in the first session in testing conditions and it was expected that he would carry on his start and get a big one. However, Jos Boland and his immaculate lines and lengths proved too hot to handle for the Indian star and he ended up knicking the ball to the left of third slip where Beau Webster grabbed a fine catch.

Virat Kohli Walks Back Disappointed After Another False Shot

It was a good-length delivery, around off. Virat Kohli poked at it with hard hands and the ball hit the outside edge on the higher side of his blade and rest of the work was done by a brilliant catch from the debutant. Kohli was visibly distrubed after his wicket and walked back in pain as India lost their fourth wicket with just 72 on the board.

Kohli's dismissal in the SCG Test is similar to the ones earlier in the series and despite lot of discussions and debats, he has not been able to rectify his problem. Along with Virat Kohli, India have lost KL Rahul, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubman Gill and need their lower middle order to step up in tough batting conditions.
