'You Take Your Time' - Shubman Gill Exchanges Heated Words With Steve Smith Before Wicket

India and Australia are taking on each other in the fifth and final Test of the BGT 2024-25. The match is gradually catching the temperament as the two teams are warming up to the competition.

The standing captain of the Indian team for this Test match, Jasprit Bumrah won the toss ahead of the game and opted to bat first. The visitors were put under early pressure after they lost their openers at the start of the innings.

After the wicket of the two openers, Virat Kohli and Shubman Gill tried to form a partnership. The two players spent time in the middle and progressed steadily. However just at the stroke of lunch, Gill suffered a lapse in concentration and threw away his wicket. 

Steve Smith Disrupts Shubman Gill's Concentration

It appeared to be careless and lack of responsibility from Gill to attempt a rash shot just at the stroke of lunch. However, a video has went viral in the social media hat reveals how Steve Smith played with the concentration of the right-handed batter. Just before the dismissal of the delivery Steve Smith was seen urging Gill to get ready quickly and take guard.

This might have interrupted the concentration of Shubman Gill. The Indian batter was seen giving a reply that even Smith takes time while batting and no body says anything during that. To Gill's reply both Smith and Labuschagne were seen exchanging a laugh. Although, Gill gave a fiery reply to Smith, he seemed to have achieved what he wanted. Gill was seen stepping down to the next delivery and then trying to adjust to the length of the delivery edging it to Smith at first slip in the process.
