The IPL 2024 final at the MA Chidambaram Stadium on 26 May witnessed an explosive performance from Kolkata Knight Riders' (KKR) Venkatesh Iyer, who delivered a stellar display of power-hitting against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). 

Iyer's onslaught came in the crucial sixth over of the match, setting the tone for KKR's innings and leaving SRH reeling.

Facing SRH pacer T Natarajan, Iyer unleashed a barrage of boundaries and a towering six, hammering 20 runs off the over. The left-handed batter's aggressive approach began with a boundary on the first ball. 

A back-of-a-length delivery angling into the stumps was met with Iyer making room and slashing hard, sending the ball flying over point for a four.

Iyer continued his assault on Natarajan, smashing another boundary on the very next delivery. The crescendo of the over was marked by a monstrous six, where Iyer utilized his wrists masterfully to whip the ball over deep square leg, clearing the fence with ease. 

He concluded the over with another boundary and a single, demonstrating his dominance and control.
