The Trinbago Knight Riders are facing the St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots in the third match of the CPL 2024 at the Warner Parker Stadium in St. Kitts. The Knight Riders were put to bat in the game after Andre Fletcher, the skipper of the Patriots, won the toss.

Jason Roy and Sunil Narine opened the innings for the Knights and got them off to a blazing start. The Patriots bowlers bowled two decent overs to start with. However, Sunil Narine soon found his rhythm with the bat and started taking the attack to the opposition.

Sunil Narine set the stage for the Knights

The West Indian all-rounder hit a boundary and six to Kyle Mayers in the third over and then followed it up with three massive hits in the next over against R John. However, John got the better of the veteran all-rounder of the last delivery and redeemed himself to some extent.

The last of these three sixes was a particularly gorgeous one. John bowled a fullish delivery at the off-stump line. Narine reached the pitch of the delivery and played a magnificent drive over mid-off for a maximum.

However, John was strategic with his next delivery and managed to dismiss the dangerous Narine. He adjusted the length slightly and reduced the pace of the delivery. Narine, who was aiming to accelerate the scoring at that point, mistimed his shot, resulting in the ball skying up and landing in the hands of Evin Lewis, who made no mistake.

Despite Narine's departure in the fourth over, his performance had a significant impact. His 38 runs from 19 deliveries provided the Knights with the momentum they needed to set a formidable total on the board.
