The second semifinal of the ACC Emerging Asia Cup between India A and Afghanistan A is turning out to be quite an intense affair. Afghanistan A openers came out all guns blazing and built a solid stand of 137.

They were looking unstoppable, but Aaqib Khan found a way to get the breakthrough in the 15th over, which also turned out to be quite a dramatic episode with Indian skipper, Tilak Varma and other players from both the sides along with support staff involved in some heated discussion.

Lack Of Technological Support Creates Confusion

It was a full delivery angling around leg from Khan. Zubaid Akbari, the southpaw tried to workit towards the leg side. He seemed to have missed it, as the keeper caught the ball with a dive behind the stumps. The umpire initially did not gave it out, but the bowler Aaqib Khan appealed and the umpires converged to take the decision upstairs. The TV umpire then after checking the replays gave it out as he felt that the ball has not hit the ground after hitting the bat.

India players started celebrating after the wicket, but the Afghanistan batter refused to walk off and started discussing the matter with the on-field umpire. He was not happy with the decision as there was no UltraEdge technology to check the bump ball. The Indian skipper then showed his disappointment over batter's refusal to walk off and the support staff of both the teams were also involved in some intense discussion.

Finally, the batter walked off the field and India got their first breakthrough. However, Afghanistan A batters continued their charge and they posted a massive total of 226.
