[Watch] Theekshana's Implausible Ball Reboots Ramandeep Singh; KKR Five Down Already

The highly anticipated clash between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) took an anti-climatic turn in the first innings on Monday. The CSK spinners, led by Ravindra Jadeja, trapped the in-form KKR batting. 

Meanwhile, he was well assisted by Maheesh Theekshana, who got rid of the hard-hitting Ramandeep Singh with an unbelievable delivery.

Against the run of play, Theekshana produced a dream ball, beating the KKR all-rounder with the drift and length of the ball. 

Ramandeep, misreading the delivery, went on the backfoot to create some room, however; the tweaker bowled a carrom ball that zipped past his blade to bamboozle the batter.

Having asked to bat first, the Kolkata batters started the innings blasted out against the CSK bowling despite losing Phil Salt on the first ball of the innings.

Sunil Narine and Angkrish Raghuvanshi caught the bull by its horn in the batting powerplay, but Ravindra Jadeja's introduction turned the ties for CSK.

The veteran spinner took the wickets of Raghuvanshi and Narine in his first over of the day before sending Venkatesh Iyer back to the hut and ending with the figures of 3 for 18. 

At the time of publishing, Chennai have sent packing Rinku Singh as well, with Andre Russell and Shreyas Iyer batting in the middle. After 18 overs, KKR is at 122/6.
