Dutch batter Sybrand Engelbrecht delivered a spectacular six that soared out of Arnos Vale Stadium. The incident took place on June 13 during the 27th match of the T20 World Cup 2024, with the Netherlands facing Bangladesh.

It was the 13th over, and Taskin Ahmed was tasked with bowling to Engelbrecht. The Dutch right-hander, determined to make a statement, seized the opportunity.

With a powerful pull shot, Engelbrecht sent the ball soaring off the meat of his bat, over the mid-wicket fence, and onto the roof of the stadium. The ball didn't stop there—it bounced off the roof and out of the stadium entirely, necessitating a call for new balls.

The crowd erupted as the massive 92-meter six was announced, showcasing Engelbrecht's quick reflexes and sheer power.

Taskin Ahmed's short delivery around off-stump was met with disdain as Engelbrecht positioned himself perfectly, executing one of the most memorable shots of the tournament.

Earlier in the match, Bangladesh had set a challenging target of 160 runs for the Netherlands. At the time of writing, the Men in Orange were at 111 for 3 in 15 overs, making steady progress towards their goal.
