Litton Das displayed an excellent fielding effort to save a certain six off Daryl Mitchell on Friday during Bangladesh’s World Cup 2023 match against New Zealand, taking place at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai. The 29-year-old, who is best known for his wicket-keeping skills, demonstrated his athleticism and good judgment, which Taskin Ahmed praised on the field.

During the 28th over, Daryl Mitchell came down the track and slammed Mehidy Hasan Miraz downtown in an attempt to smack a six. Litton Das was there near the boundary line, and the ball was almost going over his head.

Yet, Litton was able to take the catch in an outrageous manner, but it was going with the momentum for a six. After observing that, in a split second, Litton threw the ball in the air and kept it inside the boundary while jumping.

The replay showed he did it with perfection, and thus, it was just a single run rather than a six.
