Mustafizur Rahman gave Bangladesh a much-needed early breakthrough against New Zealand on Friday (October 13) during their World Cup 2023 face-off at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai. The left-arm quick got the dangerous wicket of Rachin Ravindra, who was in scintillating form until their meeting.

It was a back-of-a-length delivery by Mustafizur, which was right in the channel for Ravindra. The left-handed batsman tried to play it toward the third-man region, but the extra bounce outfoxed him. As a result, the ball found a thin outside edge, and Mushfiqur Rahim made no mistake before pouching it with his big gloves.

Batting on 9 from 13 balls, Ravindra was disappointed to lose his wicket in that manner. Fizz, on the other hand, had an animated chat with Shakib Al Hasan after the dismissal, as it all seemed to have a perfect plan against Ravindra.
