[Watch] Tamim Iqbal Outclassed By Nahid Rana's 147 Kmph Rocket Yorker In BPL 2024-25

On Thursday, January 2, Fortune Barishal locked horns against Rangpur Riders Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka. The Nurul Hasan-led side won the toss and asked Barishal to bat first. 

The decision turned out to be a masterstroke as the Tamim Iqbal-led side have already lost three wickets for less than 50 runs on the board. Fortune got off to a positive start, but Najmual Shanto was the first to depart. Meanwhile, Tamim and Towhid Hridoy looked to build a solid partnership but Hridoy too returned to the pavilion leaving the Barishal to 45/2. 

Tamim Surrenders To Nahid's Pace

While Tamim looked in good touch, he too fell into the trap and became the third victim of vicious bowling by the Rangpur Riders' bowlers. On the 4th ball of the 6th over, Tamim looked to go big and also danced down the track, but Nahid Rana saw that and got rid of Iqbal by castling his wicket. 

Nahid was breathing fire in that over as he bowled a 147 kmph rocket to get rid of Tamim, who returned to the pavillion with a score of 28. Watch the wicket here.

Tamim Yet To Fire In BPL 2024-25

In the two matches that Tamim has played in the ongoing BPL 2024-25, he is yet to fire as he has amassed just 35 runs. Talking about his team, they won their opening match, but their opponent Rangpur Riders are a step ahead and have already registered two wins in two matches and are on top of the table. 

Talking about the ongoing match, Fortune are in deep trouble as they are 78/5 after 11.3 overs.
