In the ongoing first match of IPL 2025, RCB won the toss and elected to field first at Eden Gardens. The decision went in the visitor's favour as the Rajat Patidar-led side restricted the defending champions to 175 runs after 20 overs. 

Despite losing an early wicket, Ajinkya Rahane and Sunil Narine looked a force to reckon with but spin's introduction in the middle-over did the trick for Bengaluru. Krunal Pandya took three wickets, while Suyash Sharma, who was expensive also took a solitary scalp but stole the limelight with that delivery.

Suyash Sharma Bowls A Dream Delivery vs KKR

It is worth noting that Sharma, who previously played for the Knight Riders, got rid of dangerous Andre Russell, in the 16th over. On the 4th ball of that over, Suyash bowled a wrong one that Russell failed to read and the ball turned beautifully to beat Russell and rattle his stumps to delight the RCB fans. Suyash Ends Up On The Expensive Side

Despite taking a wicket, Suyash was expensive and leaked 47 runs in his four overs. Courtesy to Krunal Pandya, who took three wickets, RCB managed to restrict KKR to an under-par score. It is worth noting that Suyash registered the figures of 47/1 after four overs and was the most-expensive bowler of all. 

Talking about the match, RCB require 175 runs to win to start their IPL 2025 campaign on a high.
