India registered a thumping seven-wicket win in their opening game of Women's Asia Cup 2024 against Pakistan. It was a complete performance from Women in Blue as they first cleaned up Pakistan for 108, and then completed the chase in 15th over to stamp their authority.

The winning run was hit by Jemimah Rodrigues and it brought bright smile in the Indian camp with two of the important architects of the win, Smriti Mandhana and Shreyanka Patil sharing a sweet conversation. 

In the video released by Star Sports, Radha Yadav is seen sitting with Smriti Mandhana and Shreyanka Patil and first Radha gives a tap on shoulder to Smriti, and then Shreyanka and Mandhana get involved in their chit-chat.

India too hot for Pakistan

Talking about the match, Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat first. They were rocked early by Pooja Vastrakar though, and then other bowlers chipped in as Pakistan ended up with a below-par total. 

In reply, Indian openers, Shafali Verma and Smriti Mandhana started off with a bang and sealed the chase with their quickfire 85-run stand. India lost three wickets at the backend, but it hardly made any difference and India have started the tournament on a perfect note.
