Shreyanka Patil is fast growing in reputation for her consistent performances, and once again showed her class in the opening game of Women's Asia Cup 2024 against Pakistan. Patil first got the wicket of Aliya Riaz and then got the final wicket of the innings as well with wicket of Sadia Iqbal with a pacy slider.

It was the second delivery of the final over and Shreyanka Patil bowled a fullish delivery angling into the leg stump line. The batter though played all around the ball and missed it completely as the ball knocked over the leg stump.

India's dominance over Pakistan

It cleaned up Pakistan for just 108 and they would be pretty disappointed with their performance after electing to bat first. Along with Shreyanka Patil, the likes of Renuka Singh and Pooja Vastrakar also took two wickets. Deepti Sharma picked three wickets and overall, India have shown once again why they are the strongest force in Asia.

Harmanpreet Kaur and co. are also the defending champions and they would be pretty confident of winning another Asia Cup title. This is the second game of the 2024 edition, and in the first game, Nepal registered a historic win over U.A.E.
