[Watch] Six & Out! Quinton De Kock Lets Down LSG With 'Pathetic' Shot Selection

Lucknow Super Giants' keeper-batter Quinton de Kock recorded a rare failure in the IPL 2024, as he was dismissed cheaply off Umesh Yadav's bowling in the very first over.

Opening the batting for LSG, De Kock began his innings on a high note, smashing Yadav for a massive six. However, the Vidarbha pacer silenced his critics in style, getting rid of the southpaw in the same over.

After opting to bat first, the Super Giants expected De Kock to provide them with a scintillating start like he did in their previous game against Royal Challengers Bengaluru.

The explosive batter cleared his intentions from the word go, smashing GT's opening bowler Umesh Yadav for a massive six over mid wicket.

However, the veteran pacer bounced back remarkably, removing the batter two balls later. It was a good length delivery from Yadav, as De Kock went to hit him for another six over the leg side.

But unfortunately, he top-edged the ball, with a skier safely being taken by Noor Ahmad, stationed at the third man.

LSG's out-of-form top order batter Devdutt Padikkal soon followed De Kock's path, becoming Yadav's second victim of the game.

As of writing, the hosts were in a spot of bother, placed at 26 for two in 3.5 overs, with KL Rahul and Marcus Stoinis unbeaten in the middle.
