In a thrilling encounter between Mumbai Indians (MI) and Delhi Capitals (DC) at the Wankhede Stadium, the 20th match of IPL 2024 witnessed an intriguing battle. After winning the toss, DC opted to bowl first, putting MI in to bat. 

Following a stellar performance by MI's batting lineup, they posted a formidable total of 234 runs on the board.

One of the key moment of the match was Abhishek Porel's crucial innings for Delhi Capitals. Porel, with his aggressive batting approach, scored 41 runs off 31 balls. 

His innings included some well-timed shots and crucial boundaries, providing much-needed momentum to DC's innings.


However, Porel's innings came to an end in the 15th over when he mistimed a shot off Jasprit Bumrah's delivery, sending the ball straight into the hands of Tim David at long-on. Despite his dismissal, Porel's contribution was significant in keeping DC's hopes alive.

Despite Porel's efforts, DC fell short in their chase as MI's bowlers, led by Bumrah, managed to restrict them to a total of 195 runs, securing a victory for MI. Porel's departure marked a turning point in the match, as DC struggled to maintain momentum in the latter stages of their innings.

With this win, Mumbai Indians opened their account in IPL 2024, claiming the 8th spot in the standings, while Delhi Capitals found themselves at the 10th position.
