[Watch] Shubman Gill Slams Green For A Monstrous Six To Get To His 37-Ball Fifty

Shubman Gill has been the best ODI batter in 2023 and just continues to grow from strength to strength with each passing game. He has now smashed another fifty against the Aussies after a brilliant 74 in the first game and looks all set to get a big score. He got to his fifty in just 37 balls and after a cautious start, just took Aussie bowlers apart with his delightful strokeplay.

Shubman Gill was on 9 off 19 balls at one point in time, but then took off in the 9th over, with a six and a four off the bowling of Sean Abbott. He then displayed his full range and played some effortless shots to stun Aussies with Shreyas Iyer also firing at the other end.

Gill got to his fifty in style as well, as he smashed Green for a outrageous six to stamp his authority.  It was a length delivery on off at 134.6 KPH and Gill quickly charged down the track and converted it into a half-volley. He then slammed it with his full might and tonked it straight as an arrow into the stands.

 Interestingly, Gill also got to his fifty with a six in 37 balls in the first ODI and is looking like a man on mission. Shreyas Iyer has also got to his fifty from the other end, and at the time of writing, India are 128-1 at the end of 16 overs.
